Rear Gear® Line-A-Trunk® Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q: I have seen cheaper liners for my SUV cargo area, what is so great about the Rear Gear Line-A-Trunk?

A
: The Rear Gear Line-A-Trunk is the only one that covers the side walls, seat backs, cargo door, and floor of your SUV. This means that all that dirt, dog slobber, and various hazards of life that would normally soil your valuable vehicle are stopped before they do any damage. The Rear Gear Line-A-Trunk is designed to be installed once rather requiring that you remove and re-install it every time you want to use it, meaning Line-A-Trunk is there when you need it. Ultimately, no other liner protects your vehicle like the Rear Gear Line-A-Trunk. Take a tour of the features that make Line-A-Trunk's patented design like nothing else on the market today.

Q: Do you match the interior color of my vehicle?

A
: Due to the variations in vehicle manufacturers' interior color dyes (even within model years), it it nearly impossible to match interior colors. Line-A-Trunk fabric colors are chosen to complement the most common vehicle interior colors.

Q: I have a third-row seat, stock speakers, and/or rear air conditioning, do I have to take the liner out when I use the third seat or rear AC?

A
: No, Line-A-Trunk is designed with real life in mind. Once you install the liner, you can leave it in indefinitely so it will be there when you need it. The Line-A-Trunk will not interfere with the operation of your 3rd-row seat, rear speakers, and rear AC. The only reason to remove it is if you want to remove it for cleaning from time to time (hose and broom does the trick).

Q: I really like these liners, but you don't make them for my vehicle. Are you going to make one for my vehicle?

A
: Every attempt is made to make liners for as many different vehicles as possible, take a look we may have one for your vehicle listed here. New product decisions are made based on vehicle popularity and requests from our request page located here. If you don't see your model available, be sure to submit a request, and you will be notified by email when we start production on that model. Click here.

Q: How is the liner attached to my vehicle, and will I damage my interior if I remove it?

A: Three methods are used to attach the liner to your vehicle.

  • Velcro: The adhesive from the Velcro is used in conjunction with a special adhesive primer
to ensure a strong adhesion even when used in very warm environments. Depending on the particular vehicle interior panel composition, the adhesive can usually be removed with naphtha or even rubbing alcohol without damaging the interior.

  • Edge-clips: The edge-clips simply attach to your vehicle trim and can be removed very quickly without any damage or marking of the interior.

  • Custom fit: Each liner is designed for your specific vehicle model, this means that the liner will lay in place like it belongs there. The Velcro and edge-clips are just there to help out.
